TUIfly is based in Germany and operates flights from its main hubs located in Cologne, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg or Hanover. It is a low-cost airline with headquarters in Langenhagen. It was founded in January 2007 after the merger of airlines Hapagfly and Hapag-Lloyd Express.
TUIfly offers both scheduled flights and charter services connecting German cities with a wide range of destinations in Europe, Africa and Asia. The airline is focused mostly on business and holiday travellers.
TUIfly has a frequent flyer program called FriendChips that provides loyal passengers with various discounts and benefits. Onboard refreshments are included in the ticket price.
The airline offers online check-in on its website. Its fleet consisted of 39 aircraft in 2011.
