Spanair

Spanair is a Spanish airline based in Palma de Mallorca. It was established in 1986 and started operations two years later. Nowadays the airline provides both short-haul and long-haul flights from Spain to various destinations. The main hubs of Spanair are airports in Madrid, Barcelona and Palma de Mallorka .

Spanair fleet consisted of 50 aircraft of different types in 2009 and the airline transported over 11 million passengers in 2007. Spanair is a subsidiary of the Scandinavian SAS Group and it is a member of the largest airline network Star Alliance.
