Skyways Express was based in Sweden and operated flights from its main hub located in Stockholm. It was a regional low-cost airline operating flights across Europe. It was founded in 1986 as Avia, afterwards it was owned by the company Manswell Enterprises Limited.

Skyways Express had its main hub at the Stockholm Arlanda Airport, but it also operated flights from Copenhagen Airport. The Skyways got such awards as “Regional Airline of the year”.
When flying with Skyways Express, checked baggage allowance was included in the ticket price.

Its fleet consisted of 15 aircraft in 2011. The airline stopped operating flights in May 2012.
