SkyEurope was based in Slovakia and operated flights from its main hubs located in Bratislava, Prague and Vienna. The airline went bankrupt in August 2009.
The airline was founded in 2001 and it started with flights on only one domestic route. Before its bankruptcy SkyEurope operated scheduled flights from Austria, Czech Republic and Slovakia to various European cities and it was the biggest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe.
The airline offered online check-in on its website. Its fleet consisted of 13 aircraft in 2009.
