Singapore Airlines operates flights from Singapore to various destinations in Southeast Asia, East Asia, South Asia and also to Australia and the USA. Singapore Airlines was founded in 1947 as Malayan Airlines and it started operations under its current name in 1972.

Singapore Airlines is a member of Star Alliance and it also has its own subsidiaries (e.g. SilkAir). Singapore Airlines has two special loyalty programs for regular passengers - KrisFlyer and PPS Club. Both of these programs offer special discounts and benefits.
