Malev operated flights from Hungary to various destinations in Europe as well as to a number of destinations in Asia and Africa. Malev was a scheduled airline and was based in Budapest. Its main hub of the airline was located at Budapest Ferihegy International Airport.
Like other traditional airlines, Malev did serve complimentary refreshment. The airline had a frequent flyer program called Duna Club that provided various benefits. Moreover, the airline was a member of the Oneworld alliance. Malev was named Best East-European Airline in 2010 by Skytrax.
Malev offered online check-in on its website. Its fleet consisted of 22 planes in 2011.
Malev stopped operating on Friday February 3, 2012 due to financial problems.
