Emirates or Emirates Airline is an airline based in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Emirates belongs to the largest airlines in the world. The airline was founded on 25 May 1985 by the Dubai government and it was supported by the founder of the German airline Germania, Hinrich Bischoff. It started operations to Karachi and Mumbai. Nowadays, the airline operates many mainly long haul, medium-long haul and also ultra-long haul flights to destinations in many countries all over the world.

Emirates offers three class system: Economy Class, Business Class and First Class. It provides wide choice of inflight menu and good inflight entertainment including the possibility of use of cell phones and email server. The fleet of Emirates consisted of 143 aircraft in 2010. Emirates won many awards - In 2008 it gained Worlds Most Hygienic Airline award. Emirates Airlines is a subsidiary of The Emirates Group and it has several subsidiaries connected mainly with travel industry (Marhaba Airport Services,
Emirates Aviation College, Emirates College of Hospitality and Services, Emirates Engineering).
