Brussels Airlines is a Belgian scheduled airline based at Brussels Airport that was created in 2006 after the merger of SN Brussels Airlines and Virgin Express. The airline operates numerous flights to destinations in various European countries, as well as long-haul flights to East, Central and West Africa. Moreover, Brussels Airlines provides charter and cargo services.
On its flights Brussels Airlines offers two service classes - economy and business, that are called b.light economy and b.flex economy+ on European routes. For its frequent flyers the airline has a loyalty programme Privilege where passengers can collect miles. In 2007 Brussels Airlines transported more than 5 million travellers and its fleet consisted of 48 aircraft in 2008.
