Blue1 is based in Finland and operates flights from its main hubs located in at Helsinki Airport and Stockholm Airport. It is a low-cost airline which belongs to SAS Group. The airline was founded in 1987 and it was purchased by SAS in January 1998.

Even though Blue1 belongs to low-cost airlines, it is also a member of the largest airline alliance called Star Alliance. Moreover, Blue1 offers special services to its business clients and passengers can also earn free miles with EuroBonus - frequent flyer program for the whole SAS group. It offers coffee and tea free of charge on its flights whereas other refreshments are available for extra charge.
