Blue Air is a very first Romanian low cost airline based in Bucharest. Blue Air was founded in December 2004 and it offers connections between Romania and major European cites. The main hub of Blue Air is located at Bucharest Baneasa Airport and the airline has its other bases at Arad International Airport and Bacau International Airport.

Blue Air operates scheduled domestic and international flights and it also provides charter and cargo services. Fleet of Blue Air consisted of 9 planes in 2009. Unlike most of the low cost airlines, Blue Air has its own frequent flyer programme called myBlueAir that enables getting discounts on the airline's air tickets.
