Allegiant Air is an American low-cost airline with headquarters in Enterprise, Nevada. It was founded in 1997 under its original name WestJet Express. Allegiant Air operates both scheduled and charter flights mainly from the hub at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport. The airline has other bases at Orlando Sanford International Airport, St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport, Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, and Bellingham International Airport.

Allegiant Air is owned by Allegiant Travel Co. and it focuses on flights to smaller airports and on cities with no other airline service. The fleet of the airline consisted of 38 planes in 2008. Apart from flights, Allegiant Air offers also vacation packages through its Allegiant Vacations affiliate.
