AirTran Airways is an American low cost airline based in Orlando with the main hubs located at airports Washington, Orlando and Atlanta. It operates over 250 routes connecting various destinations in the eastern and midwestern United States.

The fleet of AirTran consisted of 138 aircraft in 2010 and it carried more than 1.9 million passengers in 2009.

Unlike most low cost airlines, it offers two service classes on its flights - Business Class and Regular Coach. Although AirTran Airways belongs to low cost airlines, it has its own frequent flyer program called A+ Rewards. AirTran Airways does not serve any complimentary meals during the flight.
