Air Transat is based in Canada and operates flights from its main hubs located in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. Air Transat was founded in 1986. It is a Canadian low-cost airline which provides both domestic and international flights to various destinations in Canada, Caribbean, Europe, Cuba and North & South America.

Air Transat offers two service classes on its flights - Club Class and Economy Class. Unlike most of the low cost airlines, Air Transat serves complimentary refreshment on all its flights.

The carrier has code-share agreements with such airlines as Enerjet and Thomas Cook Airlines.
